Willy Tile - 'Carl'

Willy Tile - 'Carl'

Carl is part 2 from a series of 3 Wily Tile Portraits.

Carl is a one off, hand sculpted piece. Finished with real gold lustre detail.

Perfect for hanging on a wall or displaying on a shelf.

He is in 'tumescent' state (otherwise known as a 'semi'), and has a beautifully pronounced 'seam'.

The ‘seam’, or ‘perineal raphe’ is a visible line of tissue that extends from the anus, through the perineum, to the scrotum or labia major. It can be seen in male, female and intersex genita|s.

This lil cutie is formed during the development of external genitals of a foetus in the womb around 10 weeks of gestation. For the first 8-9 weeks the embryonic precursor to external genitals look and develop in exactly the same way. At 10 weeks, an influx of hormones will cause the right and left ‘labioscrotal folds’ to either fuse together to form the scrotum, or stay separated and grow backwards to form the labia majora. Differing levels of hormones can also result in a myriad of intersex appearances, such as partial labial fusion, where this seam may stay partially open.
It’s this fusing that creates the seam! TADAA!
